What Is SEO?
SEO a.k.a. search engine optimization is a collection of tactics whose sole aim is to improve the rankings of a web site. That is, the outcome of a successful SEO campaign is one where a web site appears higher in search engine results pages (SERPs) as well as appearing more frequently for searches.
Many people think SEO is a game played against the search engines, but my philosophy is different. SEO is a competition between web sites and the search engines are just the referees giving points to each player. The more points a web site gets, the higher it appears in the results pages.
Sounds simple, but the effort can be quite time consuming. Many SEO efforts also flounder after just a few months once the easy work is out of the way. Creativity and an understanding of what search engines are currently valuing (because it does change over time) are critical to a sustained SEO effort. If you're interested in learning more about SEO in the context of enlisting my consulting services, follow the link below that most closely matches the skill-gap you're trying to fill.
SEO Training
Being trained isn't necessarily the quickest way to launch your SEO efforts, but it can be less expensive in the long-term. If you've got an internal team ready to get the ball rolling, but who aren't quite sure where to start, a customized SEO program is an option worth considering.
Web Site Assessment
A site assessment can help get your SEO effort off the ground or even help you decide whether a larger effort is worth the cost.
SEO Audit
If you've already engaged the efforts of an agency, I'd recommend an SEO audit. Not all agencies use ethical practices and some just simply don't provide value that is inline with your investment. An independent third-party can help address any concerns you have.
Complete SEO Services Program
I've done search engine optimization in-house for a large publishing company as well as part of a search engine marketing agency. Very few SEO experts have the experience and background I have. I'm offering the same services you'd get from an agency without the extraordinary price tag.
