There's a new tool available for checking keyword rankings. It does two things that my current keyword tracking favorite from Digital Point doesn't.

The first differentiator is that it checks various Google data centers. It's well known that each of Google's data centers can differ at any given time. And you can sometimes see changes in search results by watching different data centers. How useful is this information? Not much in my opinion. Eventually everything equalizes so what does it matter if your site is #1 in one data center and #2 at another?

The other feature that makes the RelAdvance tool different is what they call a Deep Link percentage. This statistic indicates the percentage of external links to your site that point to a page other than the home page. This number is good know as it indicates "natural" links to your site. That is, people are linking to specific pages of interest rather than just having a bunch of directory listings all pointing to your home page.

The biggest drawback with the RelAdvance tool is that you can only track 2 keywords at a time. That's going to result in a lot of overhead if your list of keywords is long. But it at least lets you save your results. For an example, take a look at the results for my resume and the phrase project manager resume.
