Back in February I wrote about how Google was pressing on with their personalize search efforts. Up until yesterday, I had yet to see a real-world example of their tracking of my searches or any evidence that my search results were somehow tailored to me.
The results (see below) from one of my recent searches caught my eye. The information in the red box indicates that Google is not only tracking clicks on links (something they've been doing for a while), but also tracking MY clicks. For me, this extra information has no practical value, but I'm fairly confident that the click count is part of some larger effort where the sum of the individual search results tweaks will be more useful than each of the parts.
